Coffee and Chocolate

You know, I get emails or comments from sweet people who don't know me occasionally, and often they are very apologetic for reading my blog when they don't know me personally. They feel a bit stalker-esque, I think, for lack of a better term.

Well, I just want you to know, you're no stalker if you regularly check in with my little tiny address in the universe of cyberspace.

I also want you to know, that it's sweet and meaningful to me, and any other blogger, that you'd care to be a part of my life.

I love to blog all these things because it's a wonderful way to mark the moments of our lives, and writing and creating posts is a nice outlet for me, and it's also become a wonderful place of community. It's been a nice surprise that I didn't anticipate when I began.

Sharing our little lives with whoever cares to read is fantastic, and I'm grateful for so many who have let me into their own lives too.

You never need to feel like a stalker, for sharing my silly thoughts with me. And you never need to feel like you need to say hi, if you don't want to.

So for all of you who are here every day, I just wanted to say hello and let you know, I think it's awfully sweet of you to come by.
I'm sure there's a reason why you come to visit, maybe we have a lot in common, since most people don't read things that annoy, infuriate, frustrate or bother them intentionally on a regular basis. Maybe you're a mom too, maybe we'd hang out if we lived closer. Maybe we'd have a lot to chat about if you could come over for coffee and chocolate.
These are the things that I wonder. And now you might be wondering why you read this at all.
I thought about something this week- maybe you wouldn't mind me asking you- I'd love to know even just a little about you, or your story. You wouldn't need to leave your name unless you wanted to- it's easy to leave an anonymous comment, but, I was thinking it would be fun to learn just one thing about you- anything at all. You know, just to get to know who's out there a bit. Just to satisfy my curiosity, a little, about all you sweet people out there.
And for all of you that I do already know and love, I'd love to hear a little random factoid about you, too.
I'll start us off. You already know who I am, and several random facts about me. Let's see... well,
I play the guitar. Did you know that? There you go. Oh, and I have a tattoo on my heel. You probably didn't know that either.
OK, now, if you dare, I'd love to know even just one thing about you...

Now I'd never have guessed you had a tattoo!

Did you know that once upon a time I was an Irish step dancer? And did Civil War reenactments? Okay, the secrets out. I'm a total NERD!

Is this sort of like when random strangers stalk you on Flickr? *wink*

Ok, so a random fact about me...I was in a movie once. Really! It was a tiny little independent film that happened to shoot in my town and I was only an extra, but it ran in real movie theaters and I was on screen for a whole 20 seconds or so.

Fascinating, right? ;)

Okay, you know me, but did you know that when I was little I sat in this really weird convoluted way and ended up needing braces on my legs? My legs still are really weird to this day because of it.

Unfortunately it looks like two of my kids have the same weird sitting issue so I'm trying to nip that in the bud.

I'm SO glad and blessed to know you!!!
random fact: I play the piano. PROBLEM: Have not played IN YEARS!!! So now I'm awful, but I know enough to get me by. In college I used to go to the sound proof piano rooms and pound on the piano to relief stress...sometimes with music, sometimes just mere randomness. It worked though. I think I thought I was a concert pianist...yeah, I'm a wierdo.

Love knowing you.....and a tattoo? Never woulda guessed it.

I'm trying to think of something fun to share. Hmmm.....I'm a pretty decent singer. All-state in high school. Now I just sing out loud in our mini van and to my kiddos! Maybe someday there will be something more!

I've had my belly button pierced 3 times--it pops out every time I get pregnant!!

BTW--I love to stop by and check in, even though I don't "know" you.

So again, I don't "know" you but feel like I do through your blog.

Just wanted to give you a shout out on your blogs about etching. I used them and made gifts for friends for Christmas and they loved them. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, random thing about me - I'm an accountant, work full time, and am the children's coordinator at our church. Who said accountants are boring?

I'm one that feels a bit stalker-esque! I found your blog through my good friend Jenn's blog and check it everyday when I am at work.

I love getting ideas from your blog about decorating, fun things to do with my daughter and ways to get organized! And I LOVE Money Monday!

Random facts....I have a 2 year old daughter, I am married to a Firefighter, and I am going to Mexico in 2 weeks!

Thanks for letting me feel less Stalker-esque!

Hi, my name is Dawn, and I'm a blog stalker. :o) I'm a high school classmate of Jessica's.

Anyway... random facts about me, let's see. I too have a tattoo, on my shoulder blade. I used to teach Tae Kwon Do and competed on a national level. I'm a general manager of an optical store. I'm addicted to coffee.

I think I'm going to borrow your idea, and link back to give credit of course. If that's ok?

Well, hi! You do actually know me, so I feel a little silly introducing myself. (I, too, was surprised to hear you had a tattoo.)

Let's see ... Something about me ... I was going to be an English major. Right up until my senior year of high school. It's a little mind-bending now!

A random factoid...? Hmmmm.

Okay, If I wear my glasses for more than an hour in the morning I get grumpy. Really grumpy. As soon as I put my contacts in I am all sunshine and fluffy puppies again.

I'm weird. And now that I've taken all morning to come up with the above fact... I realize I'm rather boring too.

I guess I stalk your blog too, but I really enjoy your posts!

I can't seem to think of a random fact, but I did just spend a glorious day at the zoo with my kiddos. Gotta love Texas weather, where you can be out in the warm sunshine in January!

I'm yet another stalker. I usually read your blog while I wait for the water in my shower to warm up. And my random factoid...I once glued my hand into by back pocket while building counter tops.

The tattoo threw me off!

Hmmm....something about myself. I am rather boring. This could be hard.... I can belch louder than most guys. Impressive, I know. I lived in England for 2 1/2 years. I admire Michelle Duggar (the Arkansas mom with 18 kids) and secretly wish I was like her.

This is a really fun idea!

I don't "know" you either, but I do love checking your blog every night!

Random fact is hard...I am pretty boring! But the one thing I can think of is I don't have a tattoo, but if I every finish a marathon I told my husband and friend I am getting one on my foot. It would be the track symbol with the foot with the wings on it?! I play guitar too. No piano for this pastor's wife:)

You know me, but did you know I was the South Dakota Young Soccer Referee of the Year back in the day?

I read you because we have so much in common & I admire you.

I used to have a lazy eye and had surgery for it at age 16. I have almost every Friends episode in my head and almost everything that happens IRL can relate to one of them. I haven't actually watched Friends for a couple years.

I'm one of those stalkers. :) I read the blog on a semi-consistent basis and I'm pretty sure I found it because of your etching blog post.

Random fact: I get married in just over 7 weeks.

I fall into the "friend of a friend" (Kelly) and slightly stalker categories I guess. ;) I really enjoy your blog and ideas. I'm going to work on my photo wall in the next month, having been inspired by yours. I guess my random fact is that I have no decorations of any sort on my walls. None at all. I do have photos up on the desk, bookshelves and entertainment center, dresser, etc. When we moved here to our rented townhouse it was so small that I couldn't even unpack everything. Half of my kitchen is still in boxes in my garage. My theory was we'd only be here for a year, so no point in dragging everything out and making nail holes everywhere. Okay, it is three years later! I've finally decided that I'm going to do that wall in the hopes we'll buy a house shortly after that - because that is what has always happened to me in life. I'd get a house decorated and put together. Plant asparagus (that takes 3 years to produce). And BAM! we'd move within two years. So I'm hoping to employ the strategy and get similar results this time.

Definitely fall into the stalker category. :)

I'm Lisa, from Seattle.... something you wouldn't know... I grew up with dogs, and never imagined I'd end up with a cat. I disliked them all my life, and then started dating a guy who loved them. Now I have two and can't imagine my life without them. :)

Hey Megan,
Your stalkers are out in droves today! Lots of comments!
Random fact about me: My backyard is a graveyard.

I get goosebumps all over my arms when touching a cotton ball, hearing the sound of fibers being pulled in a cotton ball (ugh) and even THINKING about cotton balls.
