When you travel to Zambia from the US, you fly for about a day. When you arrive in Livingstone or Lusaka, you then have some driving ahead of you to get to Choma.
We flew into Lusaka, fueled up on good Indian food, and met up with good friends. Then the bus. You just have to get it over with. The drive takes several hours, but should you take it like we did at the close of day, the light is magnificent.
