A Day for Love and Other Things.

This Valentine's Day, I'll be whispering sweet nothings into the ears of the ones I love- and everyone else I meet- because a cold has robbed my voice.

I spent the early morning hours getting some good facetime with my humidifier, choosing to sit with my face directly over it, because being next to it wasn't enough.

I also found these- thank you Jim.

They came with a promise that another gift was hidden in the house somewhere, and I'd get it tonight, if I couldn't find it today.  I think I'll wait.  I don't have the energy, but appreciate the sentiment.  Waiting's better anyway, right?

I did accomplish a shower before the kids got up, because I promised Hudson a Valentine's breakfast out, and a balloon, and he was really looking forward to it.  It was really fun., and the girls were sent to school with treats to give and heart socks on their feet.

Now I'll spend the day researching Hellenistic sculpture, especially this gorgeous lady...

And honestly this post is a mark of procrastination.
It's the starting that's the worst.  I always enjoy it once I've begun.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Love seeketh not itself to please, nor for itself hath any care, but for another gives its ease, and builds a Heaven in Hell's despair. -William Blake
