Cat Nap

Every single afternoon Grace and Patie have their quiet time in the school room. They set up little "beds" for themselves, and for the next 1.5 hours, they read, listen to books or music on CD, add entries to their art/story journals, do little crafty projects they come up with on their own, make tents out of their blankets and hide out under the table, use their imaginations to think up the craziest things that I'll hear about later, tell each other jokes, and act out wild stories,

and treat the cats like their little children.

Honestly, this is ridiculous. And the cats let them do it, happily, and they stay like this. They actually look forward to it, and run in there after lunch.

All while trying to make as little noise as possible. Because nap time is sacred. It's tricky to stay quiet, but, most days they keep the crazy to a relatively low whisper.

I miss nap times. Sigh.
