Before and Afters

First, my new haircut.

Not a far cry from anything I've done before, but by far the best cut I've ever had. This woman was a master at the interior work on my hair (I have a lot of it). She was incredible! And super sweet. Score! I have my person!!

My hair is always throwing hairdressers for a loop- it's curly, and there's a lot of it, and I like to straighten it (it straightens easily), and still have it cut well for the curls in case I want to go that route too. Most of the time, cuts come out all wrong. But, this time, like I said, score.

She understood me that I wanted it to be cute and simple, because I'm cute and simple. I'm no vixen, and I'm not trendy. I can't pull those haircuts off. She made it a little shorter in the back than in the front, and it looks great, but not like I'm trying to look 20. The length is perfect.

Worth every penny, baby!

Oh, and my craft closet! Check here to see the full transformation of this room. The school stuff was all together, but my craft stuff was still shoved in a dozen totes in the back of the closet until this week.

Here's a small trip down memory lane, because I'm proud of myself... Here it is after the first sort, a month after moving in...

So here is the new look...well, this you may have seen...

Ah, here we go... this you haven't seen. I still have big, big plans for this closet, but this is satisfactory for me for now.
I went vertical and used those blessed ring clips I've used in the school spot to hang my most-usables up so they're visible and easy-access.
The blue thing is where I can keep my most needables...glue gun, blades for cutting paper, etc... still out of reach for kiddos, who never come in here anyway. This closet is sacred mama ground! Everyone knows that but Hudson...
That shopping bag has mailing tape, tons of bubble wrap, a pen that won't bleed, etc. It's got all I need to mail a package. I'd brought all my stuff to the Post Office one day to send something and thought, "Hey! It's nice to have all this stuff together!" So I left it. I also have clips left behind for room to grow. It's nice to have a spot to clip stuff I tear from magazines, etc, when I see a cool gift wrap idea and other misc. things.

Your hair looks fabulous! I know what you mean about not trying to look 20. My stylist is constantly trying to cut my hair into the "Posh" and I keep shooting her down. It just isn't me.
