Turnover Two.

Yes, these are very easy to make, thanks to store-bought puff pastry! The recipe is found in The America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook.
Honestly, these are very simple, but there are a lot of descriptive steps... which would take me about 30 minutes to type out. But, I promise, you want the cookbook anyway. It's great. You can also find the recipe online from Cooks Country Magazine, but you'll need a subscription. They do have a free trial, though, if you want to give them a shot. The cookbook is great though. You can actually assemble and freeze these ahead of time right on the baking sheet and then pull them out to bake fresh right before people come over. And, I used my food processor, but you can also grate the apples on a box grater. The recipe explains that. Oh, and these turnovers have several variations, like caramel apple and cream cheese, cranberry apple, and cheddary apple. Mmm Hm.

Thanks for that but with the Rand/Dollar exchange rate it's not an option to subscribe to that magazine. They still look yummy though!

Just popping by, I tried to comment on your post about roosters unfortunate demise but blogger ate my comment somehow. Too funny that your fish committed suicide.

I have a 3 yr old an a 15 month old. We have a betta named blue whom my son is conviced eats pizza and the like, I'm always fishing stuff out of his tank.

In case your wondering, I found you from Jessica's blog during the real life fests. I just added you to my reader.
