For One Very Special Daddy

From the girls:
Grace: "I like the way Daddy plays with us."

Patience: "I like it when you make our garden!!"

Lily: Made herself scarce when we were making your blog-card

From one grateful Mama: The girls maybe can't articulate yet, just how great a dad you are, but, one day, I know they'll say thank you for being such an incredible father. Thank you for your strength and gentleness, your patience and how very carefully you listen. They'll say thank you for loving Jesus more than us, for loving Mommy so well, and for the sacrificial love you show to us in all our every days. They'll say thank you for being so calm and even-tempered, so you're not a daddy who yells or gets easily angered. They'll say thank you for being a man full of integrity, so we know you mean what you say, and what you say is always the truth.

You're one great father, and by the grace of God, I know you'll only grow in that role more and more. I'm so thankful to walk the parent-road with you. Thank you for all the ways you lead us and support us, for your hands-on attitude about everything at home (except decorating), and the fun and excitement you bring to all of us. I'm thankful for the ways you open our kids up to the world through the things you love, like science, engineering, and gardening (all things they could never learn from me!). You're one awesome dad, who leads this family well, and really knows his way around a tea party.

We all love you so much- Happy Father's Day.
Love,
Megan, Grace, Patience, Lily and Hudson

Dear Megan,
You are so special. Across all these miles I feel the love that you have for the Lord, your husband and your darling little family. What a good person you are and how blessed your husband and family are to have you.

In this day and age where many lack faith and think that fathers are not necessary in the home,I am glad that you set this fine example for your children and those around you.

Your precious pictures take me back in time when my 3 girls and 1 boy were your children's ages. If you take a look at the pictures in my May 8th and May 11th posts you will see how much our families are alike. (I even have a grand-daughter named Grace) I'm sure with your loving guidance your darling little ones will grow to be wonderful adults as mine have.

Tell your great husband happy father's day. May God continue to bless you all.
