Something Closer to Normal

OK, so today feels almost normal- so I thought it was time for an update. In the busy days of moving I neglected to update you on the ever-changing status of our situation. We have everything set in motion for the close of our house, but have no closing date yet. I should have that blessed date soon. I'm resisting the urge to add about ten exclamation points behind the previous sentence. Anyway, Jim started his new job on Tuesday. His office will be in a small town about 30 minutes from Sioux Falls for the first five months or so, then the entire engineering office is moving to Sioux Falls. So, he is living in said small town in a hotel until we close on our house. We are in Minnesota with his family, and everyone is enjoying some farm life. Farm life is decidedly less-good when Daddy isn't here with us, but we're OK- missing him very much- but we're having fun. The girls have been here for two weeks- one of which Jim and I were house hunting and then went back to pack up and tie up loose ends in our old house. That was all done by Monday, and we brought every thing we own with us across the state and it's in storage. So, Jim hasn't seen the girls in two weeks- we are all very excited for him to come home for the weekend! (fighting another exclamation-urge...) I know I have the good end of the stick for sure- spending time playing with the girls and enjoying life as regular as it can be right now, in a familiar place, and Jim is alone, sleeping at friend's houses at first, now moving in to a hotel until we can move- all after an insanely busy week last week- and he's starting a COMPLETELY new career to boot. Give the man a hand- that does not sound fun. We are so excited to finally be home together again. Nothing can make a whole new house in a new neighborhood seem like home like coming together after being apart as a family, and apart from our daily routines for over a month. The place where we're all together again- that's home. So this new house will be a warm welcome for us, I'm sure.

I'm praying that God continues to have His hand in this process.

Thanks for the update as I've been thinking about you this weekend.

I'm excited for you guys to be back together again. Life, in general, is much less fun when Daddy is not around.
Have a great time moving in! I hope it is incredibly smooth for you guys!

p.s. I am totally addicted to exclamation marks, so I would have completely understood :)

Wow! I feel for you! Hopefully the next few weeks go by quickly and the transition to the new house will be as quick and pain free as possible!!!
