My Thursday, in Little Words

The day was a little crazy. I'm a little rushed this morning. So, I'll give you a long story, in little sentences, so I don't have to worry about making them fit together...

We prayed for months.
We considered many jobs and places.
One finally stood out above the rest.
It seemed like the one we'd been waiting for.
No, really, this was the one we'd been waiting for.
Husband really, really wanted it.
And he got it.
Woo Hoo!

We are MOVING to Sioux Falls.
It's the one place in the world we'd want to move, if we got to choose.
We are very excited.
And I am a little overwhelmed.
We need to be there soon.

AGGH!

Yesterday was a little crazy.
I spent a lot of it on the phone, or waiting for someone to call me back.
I have lots of sheets of paper with random notes all over them, from the real estate agent, the (very sweet) broker, from the real estate listings online, etc, etc.
I also spent a good deal of time avoiding responsibility.
My kids, and I, spent the entire day in our pajamas.
Instead of putting the laundry away, I made chocolate chip cookies.
My kids ate cereal and fruit for breakfast and lunch.
At least it was different kinds of cereal and fruit each time??

My thoughts are best described as a "peaceful frenzy".
I have a lot to do, but I know this is what we've been waiting for.
It's so good to finally arrive at it.
And now I'm going to try to get this done one step at a time, and sit back and enjoy the crazy.

I promise that today, my kids will wear real clothes.
But I might be eating a cookie for breakfast.

You're MOVING?! Wow, I had no idea this was in the works. It'll work well for your family - being nearer family and all, and getting to see friends more. Congrats!

I am SOO excited for you, and a little for me...let me explain. I have been talking for months about how I have to move to Sioux Falls for this Master's degree program I want to do. And, now I will know a whole family to hang out with when I move there. When are you moving? Congratulations:)

Love,
Tammy

PS Megan, this makes our meeting with Jen at the Mall of America in Minneapolis that much closer?!

Wow! Congratulations! That's awesome! And crazy! (I have to admit, I'm a little attached to Sioux Falls, for some strange reason.) I hope your weekend has been going well, especially now that things have likely gotten much more chaotic!

Sioux Falls, huh? That'll be great! You'll only be 45 minutes from us - is that good or bad :)
