Taste the Rainbow.

The HyVee Bakery sells these awesome colorful loaves of white bread every few days or so.  They try lots of color combinations and even had straight up green and red for Christmastime.  It just tastes like good, simple, white bakery bread.

It's not there every day, but they're always happy to tell you when they think they might be making more loaves so you can stop in early in the day.  I buy two or three at a time and keep them in the freezer.

It's $2.99 a loaf- obviously a bit more expensive and less nutritious than our regular whole grain bread, but the girls love finding it in their lunchboxes at school.  It's a special treat, and "all" their friends think it's way cool.

I love surprising them with this little luxury from time to time.

It's the little things.

I totally remember this bread. And super fun! :) I haven't tried this recipe yet, but I bet your kids would love these rainbow pinwheel cookies: http://rock-ur-party.tablespoon.com/2011/12/14/rainbow-pinwheel-cookies/
