Wishful Thinking

I have a lot of real-world, important, big things on my mind and plate lately, in addition to having a lot of ordinary, but of course sublime things to do today, like kissing and teaching my kids, and cleaning my house.

But as I sit this morning, my mind is going adrift, caught up in a big, fat, imaginary Christmas Wish List, full of things I'd love to have, but know I won't get- but I want to spend a little time dreaming anyway.

Indulge me, if you like, and read my silly list, and add a few of your own Wishes in the comment section. I'd like to know what you want, and won't get, too...

In no particular order:

20 4GB CF cards. I love that size.
$1000 Pottery Barn Gift Card.
Wait, how about just a $5000 Full Life Business Allowance.
A new laptop. A really fantastic one.
An entire week alone with my husband, somewhere....far away from here. Could that also be free?
Lots and lots and lots of really cute pairs of earrings.
A new espresso machine. Much nicer than mine.
A new car (maybe Oprah reads my blog? Oprah? Are you out there?)

There. I feel better.

Back to breakfast and the real world, which really, is fantastic.

Sometimes it's good just to get it out there. Ya know just in case Oprah is reading!

I would like a new dining room table and a hutch. The table because ours is getting cramped and a rectangle would really fit the room better than our circle. And the hutch to help organize our overflowing desk. And to make the room look prettier.

Oooh ...

I would like a plane ticket (and the vacation time!) to visit my sister. And ... a set of tickets to get my parents to Europe. (And the debating skills to convince my mother to take a week or two off work for a big vacation.)

But my grant-able wish would be to know what other cameras you looked at before you bought yours!

We must be kindred spirits! I beat you to the wish list though! I did mine a few weeks ago! My biggest wish is a zoom lens for my camera, although if I had thought about the week vacation with my husband.....

Good luck with that wish list. There is a Santa right?

I am just dropping by to let you know that I think of you often and wish you well. I think that you are so amazing. You are a natural teacher. I love the way you share your knowledge with your blog friends.

I have missed hearing from you. I hope that you and your family are doing well. I am sending love and best wishes your way and hope that you have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs, Grammy Lura

Oh, I'd love to add my "wish" list - the one I know I won't get:

Photoshop
2 new club chairs for my living room
some wonderful modern fabric
a new sewing machine

And I, too, would also LOVE a week+ away from here with just my hubby!
Here's to happy daydreams!

You know where I get my earrings now? Forever 21. That's all I buy there, but they're cute and cheap. Here's to wishes coming true!

We both mentioned Oprah today--weird.

My wishlist:
1.Photoshop
2.new lens(es)
3. fabric to make kitchen curtains
4. can it only be things you can buy? cuz if we're dreaming, i'd like to lose 30 lbs. and have my daughter be potty-trained!

*btw, we made your thanksgiving banner and it wasn't quite the holly homemaker moment that i'd hoped it would be. :) maybe i'll post about it later.

Ooo yes, me too on all of these. And while we're asking for things like PB $1000 gift cards, maybe some super cool lenses, like the fish eye one that I can't justify but luuuuurve so much!
