Money Monday!

Have you ever tried to do a babysitting swap?

1. Find friends that are remarkably awesome and have similar views, attitudes, numbers of children and desires for time alone together as you and your hub do. You could also just do this with another mom who is remarkably awesome for a morning out type of thing.

2. Find a night of the week, or afternoon, or morning, that works well for you all.

3. First week, you watch their kids at your house, and they date for a couple of hours. Yes, if you spark the idea to them, you should let them go first. You know, to be nice and all.

4. Second week, they watch your kids at their house.

5. If all goes well, repeat for endless weeks.

I've been thinking of this a lot lately and planning to put it into action, now that the baby is "older" and can handle me being gone for a few hours.

By handle I mean go without nursing since she is nine months and still not drinking from a sippy cup or bottle :-)!!

Great idea, Megan!! If I lived closer I could swap with you :-)

We do this with a couple who has 4 kids (we only have 3) but it still works for all of us and is so nice. Otherwise we would never have dates.
