Holey, Holey, Holey

Last week we were out, I was wearing a new cashmere sweater from the Gap, a sweater I loved. Great fit, super-ultra-soft, kept me just the right temperature.

I was lifting Lily out of the shopping cart and my sweater caught on the handle as I walked away. DARN IT! Two holes- the lower looks small here, but it's just as big as the top one. Agh! Grr...

I console myself. 1. I can probably mend this. 2. At least it's in a somewhat inconspicuous spot where people aren't going to notice it. It could have been in a more obvious spot. For this I was thankful.

Gratitude gets you nothing... (just kidding)...but later we were at the park with this dog. I lifted Bebo up to put him over a fence and his claw did this....
In a much more obvious spot. DARN. IT. !!! Seriously, people!

That's right. Three Holeys.

I switch to new thoughts. Well, at least I have a sweater, one of many, to keep me warm. At least it's my sweater getting torn up, and not one of my kids falling down and getting her knees torn up, at least I'm not one of those moms who swears when something makes her mad, isn't this such a beautiful day to sit at the park? and so on.

I was still ticked about my sweater, but, at least I'm grateful.

How frustrating. And way to go for having such a good attitude about it!

i am always doing things like this! or like last week when i was grocery shopping. an olive jumped out of the olive bar container and onto my fav pair of comfy pants (you know, the kind that are nice enough to wear out but they are still like wearing pjs!) i think i got the oil out but boy was i annoyed!

Oh I hate that when I ruin something new. Or when I buy my daughter a new shirt and she cuts it with scissors.

You are so right though, atleast your kids were unhurt. Good way to put it into perspective.

I was lifting one of the neighborhood kids over the fence and my shirt got caught and ripped too. . it just so happened to be from GAP. . my GAP jeans have also ripped numerous times. I love their clothes, but maybe I shouldn't wear them while I'm playing?!

:-( No! I saw those sweaters at Gap and they were gorgeous!! I'm so sorry you got a hole (I mean holes), but I agree that you had a good attitude about it. I might have been crying ;-) I almost bought one of those cashmere sweaters but went with one of the wool blazers instead. I really love it and have been wearing it with jeans all the time!
