Recap

What an incredible time! I was so blessed to spend this past weekend with good friends old and new, eating amazing foods, enjoying the Twin Cities I love, shopping at wonderful stores, and receiving a Word, I tell you from not one, but two treasured mentors of mine.

First of all, GLORY! What an amazing time we had with Beth Moore! Could I properly even tell you about it? No! But it was so, so good. She spoke about being between a Rock and Hard Place- it was wonderful, and it was a sweet time of fellowship, worship and time in the Word. I'm sure there will be more about it here, soon. I met up with three wonderful college friends, and we talked all weekend long! I totally forgot to take a picture of all of us- clearly, I was having too much fun to think about it- Me, the one who documents everything via photo? They must have been fun...

Oh, and of course, how sweet it was that Miss Beth was at the Target Center. I mean, really- the Target Center.

Oh, and of course! Anne and I finally hung out! She is so sweet, just like I already knew, of course. It was so fun to finally meet you Anne! I loved hanging out in real life! Can't wait to do it again! Ladies, if you have dear blog-friends, and it works out, I'd encourage you all to get together- what a great time! I learned so much more about Anne while we chatted, and love her even more. She even loves the song In Christ Alone just as much as me. I cry just thinking about that song.

I loved hanging out downtown, and took scores of pictures. Here's one...
We of course ate lovely foods...
And of course we shopped at the stores that hold the highest place of honor in my heart- IKEA and PotteryBarn. I found some wonderful things to bring home, of course, including this little darling, which completed my mission to find a sweet little yellow purse. I'm such a mom- to call that purse little...

And last, I had the chance to worship here for the first time- a church that is close to my heart, via books and podcasts, and through the teaching of John Piper, who has impacted this woman greatly, to the glory of God. It was incredible to finally come here in person.
I had so much fun! Jim and I hope to go back to the city again soon, this time just us- can't wait!

ok, so I had this novel comment all typed out ( justin even made fun of me) and then of course the internet went out on me. SO annoying!
What's up with that?
Anyway, to recap what I said.... :)
1. It was SO awesome to meet you. Trina and Janna where so sweet too, and kind to put up with me all weekend.
2. The conference ROCKED. It was so incredible to worship with so many other women, who love Jesus. It was a great message and we got to sing In Christ Alone...twice!
3. I wish we could shop together more often! Our time was too short!
4. I'm so jealous you got to see Piper!
5. You got a bag!!! I also noticed the orange shirt...very stylin!
Next time we hang, you bring your yellow bag and I'll bring my orange (of course I will need a new yellow wallet!)
What a great weekend!
