It's Real Life

Jessica is back for week two of It's Real Life. Here are my pictures (un-cropped, and areas un-touched up) just as they were when I grabbed my camera to create this post.

1. Curb Appeal

It's a weird angle with a goofy view of the overhang...but I didn't want to show our house numbers, and I didn't want to cross the street to take it, because I was in my PJ's and although I think I looked cute, the neighbor kids would've thought I was weird. And yes, I care if our neighbor kids think I'm weird.

2. Junk Drawer

I wish I could say that colorful Spot was my creation, but alas, he is not.

3. From Whence I Blog

I love that this desk closes up so the 40 little digits in our house can't get in, and that it's a "smart" desk with a place to plug in chargers, etc.

4. Favorite Jewelry

I wear this every single day. It was made for me, with the names of each of our kids, newly made with each addition, so it's been different every time. I love the all-silver final edition. The second bracelet is always worn with this one, as it is made of beads from my first bracelet, when I only had Grace and Pate. It was my focus object through two births, and is really special to me. I get compliments on it all the time, and I don't blame them for thinking it's cute. I love it.

5. Best Feature

I know, you're expecting a quality of my appearance. But, when I thought of my best feature, my first and most true answer was Jesus Christ. Yes, I know this is a picture from the girls' Bible, but I just don't have any other pictures of Jesus. Here is a picture from the passage when He ascends into heaven. Remember what He promised? He sent His Holy Spirit to come and live within us until Glory when we're completely with Him for eternity. What better feature could there be within me than the Living, One, True God fully alive in the third part of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, in me through the blood of Jesus. Amen.

What an awesome best feature!!! Creative of you!

And I LOVE YOUR DESK AND BRACELET! I've always wanted jewelry like that but alas... the husband hasn't picked up my hints and he won't pick it up even if I beat it over his head. *SIGH*

So... where'd you get that desk?!

Dear Megan,
How fun to see your home and computer area.I always look forward to hearing from you on my blog. Now when I see your name pop up in my comments I can picture where you live and where you are sitting to write me. That is cool....It would be fun if all of us bloggers did that....maybe I will make a post about it.

Have a great day.

What an absolutely perfect best feature. I'm ashamed I didn't think of it. Didn't even cross my mind.

Great desk!

Love the bracelet too. So glad you could come over & play.

I'm sure you look adorable in your jammas. :-)

I'm loving the idea of a desk with chargers built in! And that bracelet is precious! I would love it too. I have a mother's necklace with all four birthstones plus mine at the top of the heart ,but I don't wear it often becuase it's kind of fancy for the jeans or workout pants I'm often in. I should look in to having something like this made...

Ha! I laughed at the pj's part! And I care too, about what the neighbor kids think, to be honest. :)

Your bracelets!! LOVE them! I'd wear them every day too. I bet they are good for babies to play with when sitting on your lap.

Your desk area is awesome! I've always wanted something like that.

I love your real life!
