It's a Fact

Fact: Having four children in four years has never been known to be good for the waistline, or the hips.

Fact: When we moved I threw out my scale and bought a cute new belt instead.

Fact: I can now very comfortably wear the belt three notches back from where it was first comfortable.

Fact: My hips are still the same size.

Fact: :(

Fact: When I wear the belt where it is most comfortable, my jeans cinch at the waist and look pleated.

Fact: Pleats are so over when I was ten.

Fact: :(

Lose the belt and take your pants to the tailor. I guarantee you'll feel 100% better about yourself and not a pleat will be in sight! I did that with several pairs of pants, even jeans, they look fabulous, don't fall down and it wasn't very expensive to do. Makes a world of difference!

I agree with ris, or just splurge and get a couple new pairs - you will probably look and feel great!!! While I'm annoyed about my hips, I'm more disappointed my hair is *still* falling out.

Amen sister! I have to tell you that with Noah, my hips did not go back until about 2 weeks before his first birthday, at least the was the first time I could fit into old jeans. With Abigail everything is just different. My hips were the issue, actually above the waist is where I had some major, major shrinkage - not in a good way. Oh well, motherhood is so worth the dimples and pleats:)

I had to laugh, because it so sounds like me....except I still have my scale. :(

Forget tha pants!

Four kids in four years? You should only be measuring sanity! And from what I can tell you are perfect! :)

Happy Friday Friend!

Way to go, Megan! It always feel good to be able to tighten a belt up a notch! That's awesome! You make me laugh with the pleats. =) Sound like it's time for a smaller size. (ps...I love your blog, your daily updates, and how you always leave a comment on my blog - you're the best!)

4 kids in 4 year WAS tough... on the waist, the hips... but it was especially tough if you nursed them all! urgggghhh...

I have 2 siblings that both had twins and we used to joke about that song:

do your ears hang low, do they wobble to and fro... Can you tie em in a knot, can you...

yep... you get the idea.

Pish posh.

It's easier to tell you that it doesn't really matter than to tell myself, but really, it doesn't matter.

We see your heart and that is much more important.

I did 3 in four years and that took a real toll on the 'ol physic. I am amazed at you - four in four!

Yeah... pleats. Those are just a fashion disaster. Thankfully, our bodies to bounce back - some. I found that out after Judah and it gives me hope for this time too. I'm clinging to hope...

But if it doesn't bounce in the right direction I'll be okay. Daniel loves me no matter what. Thankfully, because there's been a lot of the "what" going on the last 4 years :)
