Butterfly Kisses

Here are some pictures from our day at the Sertoma Butterfly house. It's conveniently located in one of our favorite parks, which is also conveniently located across from the library. This is actually the place where Grace had her first birthday. She's having her fifth birthday next month. (More on that later, when I can bear to talk about it!)
There are always sweet older volunteers there to help with the butterflies. It is lovely to get to go do things during the day, during the school year, when no one else is around. We were the only ones there- well, us and a thousand butterflies. We even saw one shaking itself out of its chrysalis.

A group of several butterflies had just swooshed themselves just over the top of Lily's head (they do that a lot- especially when you strategically wear brightly-printed shirts). I didn't catch it in time to catch the butterflies on camera, but I did catch Lily in an adorable "surprised" pose...
Hudson doesn't know he's supposed to smile at the camera unless there's a goofy mom smiling at him from the other side...

I like the fact that the Butterfly Garden is usually not stopped up with lots of people and if there is crowd, it's older people. It's a sweet place where you can spend as little or as much time....

What fun!! I wish we had something like that here. Though the boy in Noah would probably just rip the wings off of the poor butterflies.

Hudson is getting so big!!! Well, Abigail rarely smiles for the camera no matter who is on the other side, so I would say you are doing pretty good:)

Oh, the Butterfly House ... One of my random favorites in Sioux Falls (actually, the whole park area there qualifies).

Lily has gotten so big since I last saw the girls! (And, well, I've never actually seen Hudson, so he has, too.)

What a cool thing to do with the kids! Wish we had one of those here. Love the surprised look in your daughter! Too cute!
